I have a 2005 Cobalt SS/SC and it has a stock 2 bar MAP sensor in it. But i'm running 20psi right now. The controller is set to 3 bar so can i just leave it set there so I can have the starting point come on at 8-10psi and full spray at 16psi? Please let me know asap Thanks

i haven't tried it out as of yet, i was hoping to hear back from the experts first... i'd like to just run it as is because its a pain to remove and redo but if need be i guess that's what i'll do. Anyone have any other info? Thanks so far !

You need to run the controller in 2 bar mode when hooked up to a 2bar map sensor. If you just bought this from us we can swap out the face plates if you got the wrong kid. If your wanting to have more controll over our system at boost ranges over 15psi you will need a 3 bar map sensor and run it seperate from your pcm. Instructions for swaping the cotnroller over. http://www.alcohol-injection.com/instructions-i-7.html |

Running a 3 bar controller on a 2 bar map can cause the water injection to come on before boost is present. ex. key on car not running can cause they system to run if the knobs are adjust too low. Anything under 2.8 volts on a 2 bar map is vaccum. And 1.8 volts for a 3 bar. they both read from 0-5 volts but the scales is what sets them apart.

I took the car out for some tuning this morning just to see how the controller would work set in its current mode. With how I have it set right now at about 15psi as a start i'm getting an actual 8-10psi starting spray and no spray under that point. I do not want to continue to run it this way forever so yes I will need a new 2 bar MAP faceplate, how do I get one? Thanks for the info.
