I have an 05 GTO with an STS turbo, and also a Devil's Own 2 bar alcohol kit. The other day I had to cycle the key off and on a few times. The last time, my controller lit up, and started pumping (the engine was off)!! It wouldn't stop until I turned the igntion off. Normally when I turn the ignition on, I see the contoller light up all the way for just a second. I always assumed it was just a start up test. Tonight I pulled the hose off of the nozzle, and found that about an ounce of alcohol was sprayed during that cycle time!! No wonder the car sometimes stalls when I first start it up. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks, Tony kllrvet92@aol.com |

99% of the time if you have that issue you have a bad map sensor connection. Your controller will hunt for the map sensor if it gets a intermediate voltage and goes into a float mode. Alot of time what happens with the extreamly feable wire that comes stock on the map sensor the wire either gets severed or damage somehow with a tap slice. The best thing you can do is solder the connection. If it is a secondary map sensor powed by the controller check the ground on the map sensor and all other connections. The last issue it's a bad map sensor connector or sensor. |

I didn't use a tap, I soldered it. I will recheck my connection. Is it normal for the controller to light up when first powered up, should only the red light come on until the map sensor sees boost? Tony |

The 3rd LED should always flash 2 times when powered up. If all the lights are lighting up intermediatly then there is a issue with the MAP sensor or MAP sensor connection. Unless you physicaly fry on of our controllers or expose them to a big magnet they are pretty much bullet proof on performance. Be sure to check the ground as well as the 5v output. The 5v output should be around 1.1 to 1.2 with ignition on and around 1.7 at 14" of vac at idle. |
