Controller wiring Issues.

All of our instructions can be found here. http://www.alcohol-injection.com/vie...ctions-16.html

Most common issues with our controller not working properly is miss wireing. We have 2 different controller wiring instructions.

How to tell which version of DevilsOwn Progressive Controllers you have. In Aug of 09 DevilsOwn revised its controllers to include some new features. Both the gen 1 and gen 2 controllers do hook up differently. So please pay special attention

Gen 1 Progressive Controllers
have a black logo
Gen 2 Progressive Controllers
have a red and white logo
Progressive Gen 2 Stage 2 Instructions

If you have any issues with the controller please let us know

Re: Controller wiring Issues.

the more i check the more i feel the controller is faulty. it appears to me that the controller should activate ground to the pump, so that the pump cannot run without ign off. i definately have no power to controller with ign off but pump runs constantly, this must mean the controller has constant ground instead of controlled ground. so i tried switching the red pump wire from battery to ign on, now anytime i turn the KEY on the pump runs. can anyone help me confirm my fear of bad controller. i rather be told i did something wrong so i can fix it before track event this weekend.

heres what i did so far...
red wire from pump to battery ( later moved to ign on)
black wire from pump to blue wire from controller
PINK ( not red not orange definately pink) wire to key on
black wire to a very good ground
green wire to MAF signal wire which is the yellow wire on this 07 gti

Re: Controller wiring Issues.

Have you checked your MAF signal wire to verify it is not a 5v output wire. You will need a voltmeter for this. It sounds like this might be the issue since you switch the pumps red to ignition on. Also a loose or bad connection of the green wire will cause the pump to run, the controller will hunt for a voltage source and it runs the pump to do it.
