Won't hurt, I use mine still, it becomes useless after about 4 turns on the pump with this controller because the PSI is well past 120. The gauge will peg itself kind of violently but it doesn't seem to hurt it. The controller puts out 13.4 volts to the pump and with 1/4 ID hose the pressure is much higher than it would be with the pumps intended use with 1/2" ID hose. And yes the controller knows if your pump is not working. The 3rd LED will blink if that happens. It won't even let you turn the psi below 60psi. it will blink and not let you use the system till you turn it back up. |

besides getting a gauge, how do you know how much psi your set at, i know right out of the box its 60, but once you get turning and stuff, is there any way to know, i know one turn is 10 psi, but you will lose track sooner or later,
