You only need a small vent hole on the tank so it's easier for the pump, You can use our 3/8" npt fitttings for the tank tap, And leave one fitting on the top with one of our 90 degree 3/8npt fittings for the vent.

If you put the 3/8npt fitting with the 90 degree end on it you just have it on the top and it won't be able to spill, Plus you still have a small vent hole. It just makes it easier for the pump to pull fluid vs a totally sealed tank.

Methanol does not act like gas when it comes to that, It is flammable but it does not fume like gas does, There is normally no odor present, You can also vent to the outside of your vehicle, Remember this normally goes under the hot hood with no issues. Now if i was a smoker I would not be running less than 50/50 mix just in case you got in a accident and the tank got damaged and were drenched in methanol, now thats a bad time. Keeping it at 50/50 keeps it pretty safe. |
