Will the Stage II controllers be able to be adjusted enough to tune away some possible issues? I understand that it tends to run rich after instal but I have no afc to fix that. I also have an IPCM so how well can this kit work as is for me? Site is looking good btw -clint- |

Both controllers will have almost the same resolution on them for adjusments, the Stage 2 will be able to controll what's call the ramp rate (which is how fast the the pump speed increases as the boost speed increases).

Right. This is better over the simple on/off, but will modding the ramp rate alone, without use of tuning or afc be enough for full potential? It seems the on/off kit user has to dial in several parameters to get the advantage. So really I was hoping I wouldn't need to buy other devices until I start changing engine internals.

I got about 50 more mS on my O2's tonight, up to 960 from 910, approx. The only changes I made since scanning 2 weeks ago, is the alcohol & porting my exhaust manifolds. I currently have the pump set at 5 turns in from stock (approximately 110psi?), so it's coming out strong when I'm on it. We'll be scanning a bunch more in the next week, as we wait for the PowerTuner to get back from getting updates, so I'll play with the dials a tad. One note, I set my max psi at 10, and the yellow seemed to flicker, so I'm guessing that might mean I'm right around that pressure for boost, since it was solid at 8. I don't have a boost gauge, so it looks like I've found one for the short term. - Dave
