How do you all get fluid rated push lock fittings?

I've bought a ton of your stuff and I reccomend you all highly to all my friends in the turbo car world. But a friend of mine was building a DIY kit and I was trying to help him out. He bought(what looks like) the push lock fitting/hose you all use they look identical but are green on the ends instead of red. They are rated for 150psi and for AIR or GAS only... This seemed odd to me because every thing including the hose looks identical to the stuff DevilsOwn uses. So I went and looked online and all of them seem to not be rated for fluids? I couldn't find any push lock fittings like you all use that were fluid rated?

Now I know what your thinking... and I'm not out to try and one up you all or your sight. I just don't want to be a part of installing a system on someones car that causes it to burn to the ground... ;)

SO basically I'm just asking if I should tell him to scrap these fittings or if they are all pretty much the same...

Thanks!

Two words (Bubble tight) if it is not rated this then you should not use fluids with them. It's all about the design of the unit, many look the same but are not.

Plenty of push to connects out there for fluids, many are use in fluid transfer industrial applications. Parker Hannifin makers of the Prestolok push to connect have many to pick from.

Just a example

Push To Connect Fitting - Hofmann Fluid Power, Inc.

Though they will probably still work at lower pressure I would not pump anything flammable through them. The 150psi rating for one makes them not usable with the system, it will burst in time.

So basically if you don't know what company they come from to be able to call their tech department on what the fittings can and cannot be used for then you shouldn't use them. Many fittings look the same but it's all about the design of the push to connect portion and it's internal parts that make them different.

You can even find them right at ace hardware stores, So fluid handling push to connects are very common especially in pluming in things like water fountains and beverage machines but are low pressure.

Hope that answers your question.
