UNIVERSAL KIT INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS. Controller wiring RED GOES TO INGNITION ON BLACK GOES TO BODY GROUND GREEN TO MAP 5V OUTPUT (90% OF CARS THIS IS ALSO GREEN) BLUE GOES TO PUMP POSITIVE (RED) GREY - 5V POWER SUPPLY FOR ADDING MAP SENSOR. PUMP HARNESS RED = POSITIVE LEAD BLACK = GROUND To tap intake pipe use a 23/64" or a 11/32" drill bit and a 1/8” NPT tap if you are going through thicker metal like a throttle body or intake manifold. You may also use a 3/8" drill bit if your using the rubber bonded washer with the nozzle. It creates the leak free fit. Washer bottle tap is a 23/64” For turbo applications install after the turbo preferably within 1 foot of the throttle body Supercharged applications install before the throttle body. Be sure to install nozzle after the MAF sensor. Our fittings are all push to connect they take less than a second to connect. Simply insert the hose and apply a small amount of pressure. Pump connections 1/4 tube x 3/8” NPT thread. Simply screw in the pump and tighten. All fittings are push to connect simply push the hose in firmly and it is locked In place. The pump can be mounted in any position and any height above the tank Flow goes in the direction of the arrow. Nozzle <-- pump <-- Tank. Prime the pump and hose prior to connect the controller. Apply 12v to the pump and let It run until water comes out. Be sure the check valve is not in for initial priming. pressure switch bypass. All Shurflo pumps pulse it doen’t effect the mist stream much but some don’t like it. To bypass simply unplug the top connector and tap your power directly into the bottom connector on the pump. It will run at full psi. Nozzle mounting (be sure not to over tighten nozzle) Use the rubber bounded washer supplied and place with the stainless steel side towards the nozzle outlet. You can place a dab of loktight on the inside of the nozzle holder before tightening up The check valve goes between the nozzle and the pump output side. Do not prime the pump with the check valve in place. The air in the lines will not have the force to crack it. The pump provides this pressure with a give nozzle size. Pump pressure is a direct result of nozzle size/ hose size and other minor factors. These are what our kit puts out. M2 nozzle with 1/8 ID hose 200 psi M3 nozzle with 1/8 ID hose 180 psi M5 nozzle with 1/8 ID hose 160 psi M10 nozzle with 1/8 ID hose 130 psi M14 nozzle with 1/8 ID hose 120 psi To install a gauge simply cut hose insert T fitting and connect gauge NOTE: All gauges will bounce around due to the pressure shock from the pump. A pressure snubber is needed to get a clean steady reading. Pressure will vary depending on nozzle size the smaller the nozzle the higher the pressure. ADDING A MAP SENSOR Find a vac line to tap into and use a universal T to connect. Green = 5v output (Goes to green on controller) Grey = 5v input (Goes to grey on controller) Black= ground (Goes to ground Check here for more details http://hhscott.com/93tmv/3-bar_map.htm |
