Hello. My progressive kit just arrived.I'm about to install it.I have an idea of the installation to maximize the performance gain. This is the engine bay with the black plastic hose that comes from the Intercooler. ![]() As you see,in position 2 is the Air temp sensor. My idea is to replace the black pipe with a aluminium pipe and install the Air temp sensor in position 1 and the nozzle in the position 2.I thought about this so that the engine "realizes" the lower temps and benefits from it. Is my approach right? Thank you. |

I asked around in the local workshops and they cannot fabricate me an aluminum pipe with a m12 nut for the sensor. It is only possible for them to make it with stainless steel pipe.Is stainless steel safe to use? Can i mount the nozzle before the position 2 in the silicon hose? |

One more question.Where can i fit a on off switch for the system so it wont run when not wanted? If i install it on the ignition wire of the controller will it be ok?

First I would relocate the IAT further down or mount the nozzle before it if you want the computer to see the temp change. But it actually looks like you have more than enough space to mount the nozzle right before the IAT sensor , It does not have to be across from it just before it the spray patter is pretty big inside a pipe at 150 plus psi. When you check for voltage make sure you have the Key in the ignition on position. Or with the vehicle started. You should be getting a 5v to 4.5 volt reading from one wire which would be the power wire to your sensor, One should be a ground and the other should be the 5 volt output which should be reading around 1.35v or close to that at idle that is the wire you should be using. The voltage readings should not be that low. Some voltmeters take a few seconds to pick up the voltage fully so let it stay connected for a few seconds. |

Brown wire when engine running reads 4.5v.I checked that with the sensor connector removed. How can i check with the connector in place? Sorry for the stupid questions. |

You would have to tap the wire, to check it with it connected. But if your getting 4.5 volts with it disconnected that means that is the 5v input wire. The output wire cannot put out voltage if the connector is not hooked up. 80% of the time it's the middle wire that is the 5v output. Just use that niffty little blue tap we put in the kits, Screw it down on the wire and touch the voltmeter to it. |
