So I finally got around to getting the kit hooked up, minus the controller the other day, well I hooked the controller up and as soon as i put the key to on, my pump will automatically run and the yellow "full" led will flash constantly. I've checked my connections and everything is where it should be. Any ideas as to why it would run without boost or engine running?

The MAP wire is not connected solid. I would strip back some of the wire and solder that bad boy on. On some cars the tap just won't work. I had to do the same with my car, because it was hunting for a signal. To check to see if your voltage is wright unplug the controller and use a multimeter. Touch the green wire and the ground with the car on and it should read 2.5 volts. If it's jumping around then your connection is bad and the controller will freak out. This is one of the reasons we came up with the MAP piggyback. Most map sensor wires are at a severe point of heat fatigue from there location. Try to stay around 2" from the end of the connecotor. |

that's part of the reason i always hate using those connectors. If they do pierce the insulation on the wire, they usually end up cutting part of the wire. But for those that are not electrically inclined enough to solder or make a good connection those taps will work just make sure it makes a good connetion before you turn everything on.
