I'm getting a leak from the nozzles that comes from the tank. I tried this generic autozone gas/oil resistant sealant but it's not working very well. Anyone tried anything else and had better luck?

I do not know if it is the right thing to use or not. But I have been using JB Weld epoxy on the connections and plastic tank leaks for years. You have to sand the plastic first though to make sure that it gets a grip. But it works for me. There are lots of epoxies out there that also works.

This is what you want to use Pemetex Black or Clear RTV silicone adhesive, works like a champ. Make sure you tank is dry and let it set up overnight. When i do a install i put it on the threads and on the bottom of the washer, Not one leak from any of those kits. |

I used the Permatex silicone sealer on many occassions too. But on the ones where there is a lot of vibration, it pulled away and started to leak again after a short time. The JB Weld Kwik held up to the task.

The silicone Adhesive sealer is different than normal gasket maker stuff, Its also what i use to mount controller. On small round dab on the back and that things not comming off. Just make sure you dont use this ![]() It is not the same as the sealant adhesive. Also you got to make sure you use right drill bit when you make your hole, use the size in the instructions you should be able to put a dab on the threads screw it in and forget about it. And avoid rounded surfaces like the corners of some tanks. JB weld also works well to, just prep the surface. |
