Question need help: test pump tpo spray with motor off

was on the freeway and got on the throttle and noticed i was getting knock retard as well as my WB showing anywhere from 11.6-12.x at part throttle whereas i usually get 10.5-11.x with alcohol. the controller lit up fine as i have the turn on at ~3psi and the max psi at ~10. i thought there was a thread on how to test the pump if it'll spray with motor off if u cross the wires of fthe controller. of course i'll remove the hose from the injector nozzle b4 i do the test my pump is an older shurflo pump which were the 100psi. thanks in advance!!!

Disconnect the map sensor plug, remove hose from nozzle connect the grey wire to the green wire to test pump.

thanks bilal. i actually found the thread and unplugged the wires off the controller then took the red/postive from the pump and made contact with the postive off the fuse box-with the hose taken off from the injector and it actually spurted washer fluid. i dunno what happened b4-hand?

odd, on the highway today i got on the throttle and noticed i on the wb my AFR went from the norm 10.5 then went up to 11.5-12.0 and my LS1M showed i was getting knock like 5-8* >.<
i retested to see if the pump was going bad, but after testing it like i stated above, the pump's fine. the controller seems to be functioning fine as well as i did not see if of the controller's fault light come on. this leads me to believe a bad/loose wiring somewhere. i ruled out ground since i when i got on it earlier, the controller was lighting up on green and sometimes yellow since i have the controller set at near full spray/pump. could it be a bad 12v or MAP wire? i checked the connection from the 12v pump wire and i've been using quick disconnects. the only one i did not use quick-disconnect is the green from the controller to the MAP sensor-thats been soldered instead. any ideas?
