Nozzles

Hey guys. Is there a differnet type of nozzle that I could order. One that bolts up from the outside in, such that its easier to remove? I have some issues with my current setup because I think the nozzle is still too close to the GM MAF and when the BOV vents I get some moisture through the sensor. This causes weird airflow readings after a hard pulla d the car runs crappy. I'm planning to put my nozzle after the Throttle body into the intake mani. But it will be a bitch trying to change nozzles everytime I want to change the size etc. Bolting the nozzle out from the inside is just not convenient. I'd like to bolt up the nozzle from the outside in. Is there anything out there like that?

Re: Nozzles

I think that Chance was looking into them, and had something in the works, but I don't know if it has been brought out yet. I think there was some QC issues or something.

We are worken on Nozzles as we speak, I just got off the phone with the person who producing the parts for us Just before getting on here. These new nozzles are going to be pretty differnt than what anyone uses now. Will have more than 1 path thru the nozzle for differnt size droplets.

Re: Nozzles

If you're in a hurry to move the nozzle and handy with a few tools, try this procedure. Use a pipe tap that matches the thread of your nozzle and buy a brass fitting one size up. Then drill the inside of the brass fitting and tap it to allow the nozzle to screw into it. You can then drill and tap your intercooler pipe to match the brass fitting and then install. I used red locktight on all parts when I did mine. I don't have a real close up picture, but hopefully you can save this picture to your computer and zoom in a little. I have my noozle screwed into the fitting I tapped, then an elbow screwed onto my fitting, and then the quick connect screwed into the elbow. I pressure tested my whole setup before installation and I have no leakage at 150psi. This allows you to remove your nozzle easily for upgrades, cleaning and testing of the system.

Great minds thik alike. I also thought of incorporating a larger diameter plug that would thread into the intake and the nozzle would thread into the plug. Then if the nozzle needed to be changed I would unscrew the plug, then unscrew/replace the nozzle and then reinstall the plug.
