Ok I need 100% clarification, don’t use tap water?

Why can’t I use tap water? Distilled water is $1.50 a gallon. And methanol is $5 a gallon. I’m in CA there is no -20 washer fluid, only 0 and 32.

I’m thinking it is the mineral in the water but I want to make sure before I spend the extra money on distilled water

Tap water will build deposits in the pump and nozzle. Zero degree washer fluid is just fine. The difference between zero and -20 washer fluid is about 5%. Hell some are both 35%. Most -20 washer fluid is 40%. Not a big deal.

MSDS (MATERIAL SAFTEY DATA SHEET) All chemicals have one.

ummm yeah tap water is fine for drinking, but you don't want to be injecting that into your engine, otherwise you'll be replacing nozzles pretty frequently. That and there are too many chemicals in there. Distilled water is a much better alternative and doesn't cost that much.

ok how do i tell what % it is. i want to make sure i get 33% or better. i have a walmart near me and autozone and kragen and napa and pepboys.

if any of them carry it the name or product number would be great.

The walmart supertech stuff is some of the best. The 0 degree stuff is 35% and the -20 is 40%.

try your local walgreens pharmacy..

Mine here in AZ had the -20 Prestone stuff..

Worked fine..

WOOT!!!! i called walmart and they are willing to order stuff!! on tuesday they will let me know if they will bring in 50 gallons of -20, SWEETNESS!!

'm goin got call everyoen and ask if they have 0 if it is onle 5% less it shoudl owrk fine. i could even get 5 gallons of methanol and add a little
