PCM mounting

how did you guys mount your PCM so that it wasn't in the way of the pump? i looked at the pictures in the installation instructions but couldnt find a clear picture of it. thanks in advance!

Mine just gets wedged in however it seems secure. I have a 97 though, so the PCM is a fair bit bigger than later models. It usually ends up with the conector side down, diagonal from near the rad hose to the FWi tube at fender. Sits on the foam crap that was inside my stock choke-box. My pump is bolted to the fender (two little holes that happen to line up perfect for it), rather than the headlight mount bracket. Essentially the same spot, pump is just rotated about 30º.

Eventually, I have plans to fab a mounting plate/bracket for the PCM and the pump. Well, PCM at least. Pump seems happy where it is.

slopoke- i see in your instructions you have some sort of mount that puts it vertical- what tray is that?

That is a pcm tray found in any ford explorer. Great fit and allows cooling.
15$ new I heard, I got mine used.

hmm, ill have to give that a shot- one of my neighbor's is a big ford guy, ill see if he has any laying around. thanks for the info!

oh- how easy was it to mount? did you just screw it down through one of the sides, or did you have to modify anything?

its not mounted. It just wedges in there. mainly for looks and it keeps the wires from touching the frame.

ummm, I bought it from a friend for 5$. ???? part# or exact model.
go to ford and ask for the pcm tray
