Up until two weeks ago, my system was fine. Then without warning, I started to observe some knock on the top end. So I went back and checked my timing and fuel system. I noticed that each time that I got any amount of boost, the Progressive Controller would go straight to maximum flow instantly no matter what settings were on the Progressive Controller. And each time that I turned on the ignition, it would run for a second or two. I do not know what is happening. But the signal from the MAP is where it should be. Is my Progressive Controller failing? Or should I look for a problem elsewhere?

Two things to check, those new style map sensors need to be mounted horizontal and no more 45 degrees either way, don't ask me why but thats how they are supposed to be. If the controller is running for a split second when you turn off the key its seeing some voltage somewere. Is the controller powering the sensor or the cars 5 volt source. |

The MAP sensor is laying completely horizontal. And it is being powered by the controller. The car does have run on after the key is turned off. But it is not all the time. It just does it once in a while. Also, no matter where the knobs on the controller are set, the pump comes on to full pressure as soon as it sees boost. There is no progressive action like it used to have when it was first installed. I data logged the MAP signal and it is progressive and is within the normal parameters. So something is up with the Progressive Controller. I am thinking about going back to the pressure switch for now to prevent damage to the motor.
