Default progressive controller 2 bar with 3 bar map?

Anybody ever use a 3 bar map with the Progressive Controller in 2 bar mode? I am thinking that this would allow up to around a 22 psi max on point since the controller will still see the same 0-5v signal. I'm trying to increase the boost range of it. Thanks.
Joe

Just switch the controller over to the other map. Instructjions are here.

If I switch the controller over to a 3 bar setting, it will still only work from 0-15 psi, won't it? I want to widen that range, so a 3 bar map on a 2 bar setting would give me control from a 0-30 psi range (I said 22 thinking 2.5bar earlier), not just 15, I would think.

Having our controller set in the wrong mode, can cause problems.

No, in 3 bar mode it will work from 0-30psi. The face plate will be off. But if the controller is in 2 bar mode and hooked up to a 3 bar map sensor its possable to adjust the knobs so that the system would come on at key on. But honesty you want it in 3 bar mode.

Ahh, ok gotcha. I was under the impression that in 3 bar mode, it just rescaled the voltage to still give you the same 0-15 psi settings and that was it. I didn't realize that it would increase it to 30 psi. Thanks for the info!

Hey- one more thing. Is it safe to assume that 7.5 psi would now be 15 ps (in 3 bar), or does it not really work out to exactly 1/2 throughout the boost range?
