I will be purchasing the universal Desiel Stage 1 kit for my truck. The question is, it only makes up to 8psi. I was wondering if I can get the kit with the lower pressure (2-10psi) switch instead of the medium (6-30psi) switch. I know you can purchase just the switch but I would rather not get a switch I can't even use. I would like to just get the kit and some pre-mix and call it good (maybe a shirt or stcker too). The truck is A 1993 Ford F-350 Crew cab dually 4x4. It is heavy and I use it for towing (obvously). It is one of the 7.3 IDI (pre-powerstroke) motors. It has an aftermarket Banks turbo on it. I have turned up the fuel pump already about a 1/4 turn. That made a huge diffrence in power. Now I want to keep the extra power cool (there is not intercooler). I am also wondering if anyone out there had put it on this application before? I was just wondering how much better it performs. I know it will help out quite a bit. Thanks for any input ya'll have. Keep the shiny side up! |
