Question Re Pump position

Hi, well after having the kit for nearly a year, I am getting around to fitting it. due to the space in the MR2 we are going for a custom fit (will post pics), however the design depends on where we put the pump and water bottle.

Ideally we want the the pump side by side with the water botte, with the water feeding from the bottom side of the bottle directly into the pump.

We do have a check valve in the system which will be up by the nozzle.

Is this acceptable or do we HAVE to have the pump lower than the fluid ???

any info would be greatfully received
