I have a base kit installed on a '90 Eagle Talon. (Works GREAT, BTW!). My custom ECU has a "No Lift To shift" feature that cuts fuel when the clutch is pushed in. Essentially, when using this, the fuel injectors will be closed, but the water/meth injection will still be on. (I run a 50/50 mix with an M5 nozzle). Is it possible this will cause the meth to burn too leanly? |

We have not heard of any issues with this. In fact it's better you have some fuel in there under boost instead on nothing that's how you run lean and pop a piston. Methanol run richer than pump gas by the way.

I was getting a bad miss/stumble after using the NLTS feature, but I've since cleared it up. My theory: I use a switch at the TOP of the clutch throw to start the NLTS (ie: shut off the injectors). Most people use a switch at the bottom of the throw. I'm guessing that the W/A injection may have been wetting the plugs enough to cause them to missfire until they cleared up. My fix: I've connected the boost switch ground to the clutch switch. This shuts BOTH the injectors and the W/A injection off during the NLTS. The miss/stumble is now gone. |
