Saturday night a couple of my buddys and I went to Dragway42 for there street race and test and tune night. I had to work from 8am to 12 that morning so when I got back up to my place I was kinda in a hurry to install this alcohol kit. The only part that took alot of time for me was installling the nozzle in my TB. My car is a 99 and I drilled a hole right below the Hatichie name on the front side of the TB. I also had to remove some of the plastic on the bottem of the MAF, but it worked out great. If anyone wants pics I got some. Anyways I get it all hooked up, and its time to book to the track because everyone is standing around waiting on me. So when we get on the road to go I see that the red light is on the controller and I asume that that means its powered. Cool so far, well when I step on the gas I see the green light come on and the yellow light, and when I get out of the gas they go off. Is that normal? Well when we get to the track I try to hook up my Hp tunners to the car and it has some error message and cant read the car. So im like fuck! all my friends are here running there cars im gonna run mine to. So I run the car a couple of times and whenever I made a pass when I got to the end of the track the yellow light would be blinking? I would pull in the pit, turn my car off and back on and it looked like the controller would work fine until i made another pass. So all in all it was a pretty good night. My best run was a 13.6 @ 98, which sucks, but Im hoping to get this kit dialed in and beat my PB of 13.2 @ 105. Also my buddy has a 98 with 3.25, 3inch Cat! Ubend!, 104s, FWI ran a 14.0 @ 98! I thought that was good for the mods he had. Well what do you guys think. Carl |

Check your PM box, your hitting the low pressure sensor. It was set to sensitive and the pressure switch on the pump sets it off. I'll PM you the fix. Basically the system is warning you something is wrong and it shuts it off. The low current sensing picks up the pumps pulsing which it does when it hits it's max psi of what it set to then it comes back on. We change this feature on all the new controllers. |
