I just bought the kit and got it the other day. It came with a controller and I was wondering I was wanting to hook it up to my STS Turbo kit and alls I really have to do is just wire it into a switch I have mounted in my dash. To get the pump to turn on right? I don't think I actually have to run it to my map sensor because alls that does it tells it when its at a certain p.s.i. and kick on. So I was thinking I could just turn it on maually with that switch correct? Thanks, Jimmy |

The only way that would work is if yur switch is a 5v reference source that converts boost into volts. Which makes it a MAP sensor. The controller reads only a 5v source this is why you have to hook it to a MAP sensor or other 5V source like a TPS sensor. If your MAP is not a 2 bar sensor you will to get a 2 bar sensor and harness. The controller has a 5v output that can power the sensor seperate from your vehicle and you can just run a boost line to the sensor inside the car and connect it to the controller and have it read from there. | |

Ok I already have a 2 bar map sensor installed. So the only way to hook it up really is through the controller and map sensor. Because the switch that I was talking about was for the boost controller turning it from 4 p.s.i. daily driven to 8 p.s.i., is when I really only need the methanol. Jimmy |

yea, our setup will really work best for you with a map reference. You would need to adjust the knob to have it at 4psi and then just turn it to 8 when wanting it. Most ls1 based cars usually set it to 3-4psi turn on and have the max 1 -2 psi below max boost, and they just leave it once the car is tuned for it. |
