i am new to actualyl having DONE WI on my car, but i DO know that installing water/meth/alcohol injection on any car is safe more then unsafe...the whole purpose of the setup is to increase octane and timing and reduce EGTs. as long as you dont tune your FUEL system improperly or too agressively, the you have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to gain. if you choose to retune your fuel system too lean, then that is your own deal and NO fault of the WI/MI/AI kit...

yes your car will use less fuel if still being controlled by the factory fuel maps and ignition maps, but this is not a bad thing. the increased octane levels provided by the injection will make it so that even with les gasoline, it will still be safe. if it is leaning it out to the point of being dangerous then i would have to chalk that up to a poor install.

Did you check out this post yet? http://www.alcohol-injection.com/for...di-s4-418.html Alcohol injection is safe for any vehicle. When wired correctly there are no down sides. We do plenty of kits for the 1.8T, and the 2.7T. |
