This is a discussion on "AWI on a turbo 440cc motorcycle" within the Turbocharged Engines forums. This forum, and the thread "AWI on a turbo 440cc motorcycle "are both part of the Engine Specific category;
I have a KZ440 twin cylinder that I'm boring and stroking out to about 460-480cc, so the compression ratio will be about 10-10.5:1 (it's 9.2:1 from the factory). I'm using a small K03 turbo off a VW 1.8T. I'm not planning on running much boost, probably around 5psi.
As far as control, I could either have it single stage boost actuated or I could run a progressive kit off of the system voltage, since I have a capacitor (battery eliminator) and the voltage varies with throttle. Not sure, still trying to decide.
Just wondering if you sell smaller pumps and nozzles for this kind of small displacement turbo application.
I'm in the same place. Been seriously considering a 60 psi head for my pump. Mine is going on a 650cc turbo engine. I think the controller would help you drop the flow, but again 400cc at 5 psi won't need much flow. with an M1 the 60 psi head it should still make 100+ psi

Interesting. Is yours a Daihatsu keicar or a motorcycle? What kind of turbo?
The thing is the K03 is good up until 12psi so I know I'm probably going to mess around with the wastegate and slowly up the boost so I need a nozzle with a little room to grow. So long as the motor doesn't pop.
