Default Considering a W/I kit

I'm looking at purchasing a w/i kit from yall. I have a couple of questions to help me get a better understanding. Is the difference between a normal kit and a progressive kit that much of a difference on my car? Mazdaspeed Protege 2.0 T25 running 6-10 lbs of boost. I have a fuel controller and will be able to tune my car but do I really need a Progressive Controller?

Thanks Guys,

Chris

The controller gives you more controll on how much your injecting, But since you have a means of pulling fuel you can still go with Stage 1 kit and upgrade later if you wanted to.

I think I will go ahead and get it with the controller. I might as well get it now instead of having to do another tuning session. Thanks guys.

My car is controlled by a MAF sensor. Is the only way to run a Progressive Controller with a MAP sensor? If not, how would I set it up on my car. Do I just wire it into the power on my MAF sensor?

Thanks,

Chris

Plenty of people use the MAF, Fords, Evo's ect. It has a 5 volt output for the controller to read so it works just fine.

Yeah you can only do this with the controller you could not do it with a boost switch if your banging your rev limiter.

How much are your stage 2 kits? The website no longer lists them on my computer, and do I just need to call to order mine?

Thanks,

Chris

I recommend going with the progressive kit. I have used the simple on/off boost switched Aquamist kit in the past and it was no where nearly as effective as the Devil's progressive kit. By allowing the amount of water to be progressively introduced, you can have it start much earlier and under lower boost conditions (such as steady uphill climbs) and give the water more time to affect the combustion, etc.
