I have a 1988 Mazda 323 GTX 1.6 Turbo AWD. This car is a stock 135hp car with mods in work right now including a full 2.5" downpipe back, an upgraded intake, a front mount intercooler and a Reich Racing ECU bringing the horsepower levels to approx 200hp. I like the idea of the progressive universal kit but do I really need a engine management system also?

No you can use the factory PCM with no problems, You just need to be aware of your fueling with your stock injectors. Adding the alcohol will help you out alot. If your car does not have a MAP sensor our controller has a 5v output to power a map sensor.

Ok, I have the 2.5 exhaust, different intake and a Rocketchip ECU bringing my hp rating to approx 180 hp, the ecu remaps the fuel curve for running to 15 psi safely. Now I still want the progressive universal kit so I also need a MAF sensor switch ?
