| I am building a 1995 Volvo 850. I am installing a TD04HL 16T w/angled exhaust flange, 3"DP w/hi flo cat, 2.5" cat-back, 350cc injectors, no tune yet. CAI, RIP kit, and upgraded ignition. Redline on my tach is 6k. This build is basically a stock "R", looking at 16psi boost for ~270 whp. Nozzle chart says M3, but not sure if this setup is ready for W/I. Oh yeah 165k miles, 2.3l I5, Auto tranny. No dyno yet, AEM WB AFR gauge going in also. Progressive for sure, but will this help my car out? oh yeah MAP sensor also. Not sure how this all relates Last edited by maxsheldon; 11-21-2007 at 04:02 PM. Reason: forgot component |

| DevilsOwn Staff Year: 2000 Make: Pontiac Model: Grand Prix | Water/methanol injection is viable anytime the desire to reduce Intake air temps is there. These are really great on turbo-supercharged applications that do not have an intercooler. There are still gains to be had on intercooler equiped cars too. These can also be used to add a safty net against detonation. |

| Air temps in CT are blow freezing right now so I'd imagine numbers would be skewed. No IAT sensor on my car. I may rig something , but not for a while yet. Also not smart enough about cars to understand what you mean by timing pull, or what to look for in cars behavior when this occurs. Kinda newbie at some of this stuff. I do understand W/I and I also realize that as you increase the methanol to water ratio you raise EGT's. Higher octane = higher temps. Hence the 51/49 mix. I am in the process of installing a 3" DP on the on the angled 16T. Have obvious mods to increase air flow, CAI, 2.5" cat back, slightly bigger injectors, no tune yet, Nothing approaching crazy, I'd say. Always humble enough to ask for help, never to old to learn! |

| Wow, that conflicts with what I have read on some forums. But you guys are the pros, so no dispute on my part. No way I would run straight methanol anyway. |
