As the tittle states! So I can't tell if anything is going on. It still detonates under full boost, about 18psi, normal is 12-15psi. Anything over that and it would detonate. I went out for a drive and the tanks level is lower so it's going some where. There is no pool and does not seem to be leaking? I unscrewed the nozzle and some fluid dripped out so I assume it's pumping. I have the #7 nozzle in and it called for a #4 so if anything I was expecting it to bog down because I was pumping to much in. WTF! Last edited by Aristocat; 09-21-2008 at 08:17 PM. Reason: grammer |

Can you post some more info. Your start setting, your full setting, changes made in knock threshhold etc.

Straight Meth, Water or Mix? Not sure how you have a normal psi setting that ranges 3 psi but say you were 12psi and can now run 18psi but with some knock it looks like you gained some psi so it's doing something. Run the highest pump octane you can and straight Meth and you should be able to run more than 18psi with an intercooled FI car. |

Well with the boost controller off it will boost to 12 then on a cold evening 15 with no detonation. Anything over 12psi it would start to detonate on a regular summer day. It is the basic universal kit. I have it set to come on around 10psi. I could boost before to 18 psi with some bad detonation and with the kit installed it still detonates at 18psi? I'm running 50/50 mix, methanol and distilled water. I ran later that night at 16psi and seemed to work better but maybe because it was cold out? |

Are you sure that evrything is working correctly? Turn the switch down and see if the car stumbles.

So I turned down the switch to activate sooner and it seems to be pulling WAY smoother and a little harder and no detonation, I even turned the boost up to 17psi. It still is some what cold out, I'll try it when it gets a little warmer this afternoon. So it seems to be working now. If I put more methanol in the mix does that make a little more power or should I stick with the 50/50 mix? Last edited by Aristocat; 09-22-2008 at 03:01 PM. Reason: redundency |

All is good, it must have been the that the pressure switch was set too high. I've got the boost turned up to 18psi and I can't even keep traction to the back wheels!!!!!!! And not a hint of detonation!!! Again, would changing the mix to more methanol does it make much more power? |

Ah, did you have it after the 15 dash?? Ya keep the top of the tooth at the hash in between the 6 and 15 and you'll be fine. ![]() Running pure Meth will help cool the charge more but since you can't control the pumps gain ( full blast ) you'll have to see how your engine responds to the Meth and then add or subtract nozzle sizes. Ideally you'd have an IAT sensor after your TB to see what's going on in there and a Wideband to pull fuel if it gets too fat from the Meth. |

So we got her on the dyno today....fairly happy with the results. 349.8hp With not knock at 17psi. Apparently Dyno Dynamics read a little lower than other Dyno's. Either way it's more than 400hp at the crankl! Not too bad for a 15yr old Toyota! |
