I have tried and tried to corrode aluminum with W/M, including soaking for months. No corrosion at all. Has anyone actually seen aluminum corrode in the presence of Methanol? |

That's good to hear there are no problems with methanol. I remember reading it somewhere, you know how everything you read on the web is "always true"...LOL

I am a chemical engineer. I did some research bout a year ago. There is a very specific concentration that results in problems with aluminum (or was that stainless?), something like 94.2%, yada yada. It's one of those things.
