I've almost finished my install of the base kit on my SRT-4, but I've ran into a problem. Right now, my pressure switch isn't activating at all. I've got it hooked up to a line coming straight off my turbo, but it seems it doesn't provide enough pressure to push the piston on the switch. I used a can of air to test to see if the piston was seized or something, but it moves just fine. Any ideas? |

If the switch seems to be working could it maybe be the electrical side of the setup, not necessarially specific to the electrical part the preasure switch plays in the system. Switch could be working as intended but might be something somewhere else in the system. You probably have already done it but maybe double check the rest of the system again if necessary. Just my thoughts on it, but you can trouble shoot sections of the electrical with a 12v trouble light. If I remember correctly your tubo (similar to my PTturbo) has two pressure source lines comming of it. Either should provide good enough pressure to activate the switch. Anyway not sure what else to say other than double check everything.

deff are you the one i talked to yesterday about it just being you had the turn on set to high? If there is still a problem, first check to see if the relay is wired corectly by touching the 2 black wires at the pressure switch. The system should then kick on. If not its the relay is wired incorectly, if so then its possable you have the wrong pins connected on the switch etc. If you would calll me we can go thru your setup and get you running. |

The switch is fuctioning correctly, but the piston on the switch isn't moving under pressure from the turbo line. If I can't get it to switch on with the line off the turbo, my next option is to just purchase the Progressive Controller. |

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's help. I also tried the line off of the throttle body with no avail (Somebody on another forum used that line with another kit). The circuitry is correct because I can start the pump by pushing the microswitch with a scribe. Its just there seems not to be enough pressure pushing on the piston to move it under boost. I've gone ahead and ordered the Progressive Controller (which now that I reflect on it is what I should have ordered in the first place). Chance, I couldn't remember what MAP sensor stock '04 SRT 4s' come with (I think its a 2.0bar. Stage 2/3 kits come with a 3.0 bar if I remember correctly), so I just ordered the voltage controller. But if you wouldn't mind, could you double check my order? |
