The person probably had a dirty tank, Those little nozzle filters can be had by calling the shop, I'm we could get you one out at minimum price. The exterior surface corrosion can just be cleaned off with some fine grit steel wool, That can happen when exposed to the elements like were road water spray is hitting the pump all the time. It does not really effect anything. You can also paint the housing.

The fitting you can just order from us.

We would really have no use for a used kit. Besides it's the 150psi pump which we or pretty much moving away from except for overseas sales.

well I understand, but I think imma refuse to use a used pump, out dated, may have internal corrosion and theres no way for me to tell, So If i cant trade it, I think ill resell and buy the aem kit for 300+/- and comes with a tank and setup to mount in trunk, I have absolutely 0 engine bay room left for this pump to use windshield wiper container, i need it mounted in trunk. by the time i buy a tank and also new nozzles and fittings im not far from a brand new kit.

Dont get me wrong its not your responsibility to warrant a used kit that I cant confirm its orig buy date, nor can I prove anything wrong with it. But Ive definatley decided im not gonna use a used kit. Especially with outdated pump.

That pump is less than 1 year old you can tell by the sticker, And if your planing on running more than 50/50 alcohol through a AEM pump you should think again. It has different seals than ours. And it's still basically the exact same pump.

The fitting is around 5 dollars, the a new nozzle is 20. You only need the filter and your not even sure what nozzle size you require so it's best to find that out first. But if you feel the need to buy a entire new kit feel free.

We also carry a 6 gallon tank the pump mounts right on top, or a 2.5 gallon that mounts in the trunk. As well as other sizes.

AEM trunk kit is $550 and they sell that tank for $187 bucks. There kit is almost $440 with a 1 gallon tank. Or base kits have a 250psi pump, But hey it's a free market.

The pumps are sealed, they really are not much different than your starter motor.

You'd be mad not to buy the Devils tank, fitting and nozzle, loads loads cheaper than a whole new kit and there's nothing wrong with the pump your using, I'd know as I'm using one on my skyline, and have been for over the last 2 years with no probs.

Plus Ihave no plans to upgrade either.

Re: used kit, missing a fitting and concerned about .....

Can you please link me to the fittings i need to complete this kit, for my situation i feel like I have to rebuild the kit, I want a 4 quart tank, a new do5 nozzle and filter, I need a fitting for the output side of pump, a new brass check valve for safety, or is there a way to see if mine is the updated check valve and is there a way to check the functionality? and from what you saw the pump i have is a 150 psi or a 220? when will 150 be insufficient. I have a brand new DO7 nozzle but i think that will be too much for the car and may possibly be too much for the pump to keep up with. Your kits for the mazdaspeed 3 comes with a 250 psi pump it says, this one only says 150.

Now regarding the check valve my car holds 23-25 Vacuum at idle .... and I want it mounted in the intake manifold for best cooling due to the ridiculous spark knock my car has. i read the valve will Crack at 16 ? means I will be leaking meth in vacuum past 16 ?

If I am running 93 octane fuel but only spraying 50/50 where will that put my orverall octane be roughly i know theres no real number but will it be close to 100 maybe more ?

I guess im looking at what i have here and its only the one fitting i am missing, for out side of pump. I have the 90 deg witht he nozzle and check valve on it, and a fitting for the tank.

So whats the best price the devil doc will give for all this plus enough tubing to make it to the trunk. I have already tubing but its not gonna reach I dont think, and I rather not put 2 peices together, I would require maybe a 15 foot section to properly route to the trunk.

And i got one last question as well. If i get my fabricator to fabricate a fitting into my ic piping and it increases the distance from the tip of nozzle from the inside of piping, its the spray too wide and will turn into droplets and not atomize ? how narrow is the stream whats the tolerance, how far can i have the tip from the area its spraying? If i chose intercooler piping isntead of intake manifold it weill be exposed to less vacuum but must fabricate a connection point for it, where as with IM i can tap the manifold directly and it wont have to go so far ?

And bruce thanks for your input as well, I was already typing this message above and decided to keep this kit due to seals in the pump as u replied =)

Re: used kit, missing a fitting and concerned about .....

You have the 150psi pump, it also has the part number on the sticker as well as states 150psi. Those pumps will support over 700hp with no problem.

The checkvalves were changed years ago, If it has a etched ring around it then it's the newer check valve.

http://www.alcohol-injection.com/ins...itting-28.html

You need the 3/8npt fitting for the pump.

The check valve is 16psi which will hold of over 30hg of vac, it would be pointless to make it only hold off 16hg of vac as the average vehicle makes between 20 to 15 inches of vacuum.

The prices are on the website , we are the lowest when it comes to any of these parts. The fitting is only $5.15 pretty cheap. Nozzles run $20 each. We carry or own custom self sealing tank tap as well which is located in the parts section of the site. This part came out earlier this year.

If your mounting on a metal pipe all you need to do is put a 1/8" npt bung to screw in the nozzle, or simply drill and tap it with a 1/8npt tap. It's more than thick enough.

When your car is under boost you will have 100's of CFM of air moving through a small diameter pipe, It' pretty much a none issue. You could get droplet formation if you were using a large diameter pipe like 4" or more but that's a fairly uncommon size.

The nozzle spray a 60" cone.

This is a good how to on a Mazda 3 with 1 gallon tank.

Yea, there is nothing really in the pump that can corrode. If it works it works. These pumps are really reliable.

its very common for it to happen on the outside with eveyones pumps. Just from washing out your engine bay etc. We just moved away from the shurflo brand pump. If you buy a new aem kit they are using pretty much our old stuff that we are getting away from. There is not really in big issues with it we just like the 250psi pumps better.
