maybe on your car, but not an SRT4. antying leaner than 12.5 they start to get quite a bit of knock on 91 octane pump gas. if you are using an ultra high quality pump gas of maybe say 94 or 95 octane, i could see going leaner, but even on pure race gas i still would no way in hell run a 14.7 AFR. you will melt a hole right thru the piston with 20+ pounds of boost. on a naturally aspirated car, maybe ok, boost, no way.

eh, whoever told you 14.7 might wanna consult a general engine tuning book.

12.2:1 = mean best torque.

I noticed the exact same thing, but after a couple of miles it seems to correct itself. I have a 2004 Audi TT 225 at 22 psi peak. I suspect the car was running rich until the ECU adjusted the fueling. Could be wrong, but it appears to be running fine now.

lol vr6t.. 14.7 is perfect a/f ratio for all cars... AT IDLE you wont wanna have a 14.7 a/f ratio at wot on either NA car or Boostd cars.. lean out and then you'll lose your engine.. i would say shoot for mid 13s on n/a cars and to be on the safe side i would tune for mid 11s on boosted cars.. thats wide open tho.. if your running both o2s on my car the ecu will automatically tune the low throttle for you. on the spec v the tune is a breeze.. all you have to do is adjust the a/f's since we have a maf sensor the ecu adjusts everything else.. it's a sweet deal.
