Wanting to add pre turbo nozzle???

Is there a splitter adapter fitting to split the line in order to run a second line/nozzle. I see nothing available on here.

Thanks

I'm not sure were you looking but here it is under upgrades.

Re: Wanting to add pre turbo nozzle???

I have been testing and experimenting with pre-turbo nozzle placement, and I just noticed the self sealing nozzle holder (that uses the outside type spray nozzles) which might provide a perfect solution...

I am running a Tial-Garrett GT3076R and the inlet is connected with a 4" to 3" 90 deg elbow. The nozzle holder could be used to aim a nozzle directly at the compressor wheel, although I am unsure of what the spray pattern looks like (Devilsown outside nozzles)
I have an M5 nozzle that is stamped HAGO on one of the wrench flats. it has a VERY wide cone pattern, and I have determined that placing this 8-10mm (1/4-3/8") in front of the compressor wheel nut (in a bullet shaped holder I machined) evenly fogs the compressor wheel.
I am using a 150psi pump and I am using 2" of 1/16" nitrous hardline to feed the nozzle holder.

the idea of using the self sealing nozzle holder places the nozzle about 5" back from the compressor wheel... What degree do the Devilsown nozzles spray at (In other words, how wide or narrow is the spray pattern?)

The reason I have been putting so much effort into the placement, is that I have determined that once there is an obstruction to the spray pattern (i.e. the walls of the intake piping, the inlet nipple of the turbo, anything the spray hits... causes it to change from mist to droplets. -which I don't want. )
If this is a feasible option for me, I really like the idea of not having a nozzle suspended right in the center of my air inlet piping.

I'm sorry, I'm new to this forum, but what the hell are you trying to achieve by spraying (What ?) into the turbo compressor ?

You're on this board and you don't know (what) we're spraying... you have a lot of reading to do. ;)

Re: Wanting to add pre turbo nozzle???

FINE !

Well here it is in a nut shell, try and keep up.

Pre turbo spraying taxes the compressor considerably depending on the turbine/compressor ratios and turbo sizing to the engine displacement. Second, you wreck the thermal efficiency of the intercooler and under quite a few different scenarios the fluid being, pre compressor sprayed will condense in the intercooler and slugging can occur, not to mention the reduction of area. If you know anything about thermal dynamics you would know that the overall system efficiency goes down in a process like your trying to do and greater gains can be made, spraying post intercooler. And that doesn't include the density reduction, pre intercooler which is also bad. Spray what you like, where you like. Just hope you don’t hydraulic your engine, Rookie

Edit: I didn’t even touch on the erosion factor of the compressor. The compressors are designed for a gas, not a gas with liquid droplets in it. Do you really think that ambient air temperatures will be sufficient for any fluid you’re injecting, pre compressor, to change states in the extremely short time it is in the compressor suction pipe? Did you factor in Bernoulli’s principles for the eye of the compressor? Because you could be feeding the compressor “ICE” if your mix, contains water !

Great post, however this is a case of how real world is different then theory.

I'll let the pros respond to your post, but unless you've tried it and have proven your theories in real world then I'm more likely to listen to those who've proven it works.

Your funny Just who do you think I am ? Johnny come lately ? Just because I'm new to your forum doesn't mean I haven't been around. My daily driver is a 0 -300 in 17.8 seconds. I've been making big horse power for nearly fourty years. Whats your claim to fame ? Johnny

look at this, a typical pre turbo injection problem, nice blades.
