how did the location give you more boost? i have mine on the intake hat on top of the throtal body also and didnt realy notice more boost. and this has been extremely helpfull, i know exactly what im doing now, strait mehtinol(real methinol) no ace hardwere xlene crap.

Sharky the black crap on the tail pipe is pretty common, Thats all the stuff the injection cleaned out of your motor, I normally tell guys I do iinstalls on to change there oil after about 500 miles of driving because thats about all you need to flush all the carbon out the engine. Its kinda like doing a engine flush. For the boost question, on roots style blowers there is almost always a increase in boost due to the increased seal the alcohol/h20 mix give in vapor form between your rotors. I pick up 3psi on my car, On my GTP I saw 2psi with the same type M90 blower. |

Like DVLDOC said, having the nozzle before the supercharger help to seal the rotors and build more boost. I think though that there is a trade off. I think that I lost a little bit of the cooling due to the spray nozzle being before the supercharger. I was also going to try straight methanol. But I think that I would lose some cooling by not having the water in it. The water is essential to the cooling. I was thinking of running two complete systems one before the supercharger and one after. One would run straight methanol and the other a 50/50 mix. I would then experiment to see exactly when and how much it would be best to activate each system. Right now, I need to address my basic tuning issues with the system that I have. I am tempted to buy a dyno just to help me learn more.

why didint i see extra boost? mine is a screw style blower, maybe the screw style is just more eficeint and dosent benifit from a beter seal like the roots does. or maybe im runing way to small of a nozzle right now. i have a m7 on my 5.7v8 with 8psi and 5000 max rpm, the calculter says 10.88 or something, so im gona put the m12 in as soon as i get it.

thanks guys! i currently have my washer bottle tank tapped for the alcohol system. i guess i can mix both some of the -20*f washer fluid with some 90-99.9% isopropyl alcohol and see how well it runs ^_^;

I bought some Isopropyl alcohol from KMart and put it in the WI tank which is located in my trunk. It ran fine. But I did not like it because it had an awesome alcohol smell in the passenger cabin. The fumes were nearly unbearable.

Any local drag strip will carry Meth. I've tried everything from water so many diff mixtures washer fluid 99% isopropyl. And 100% meth works the best on my car. Ur all worried about nothing with the 100% meth. Been running it for years w/o any issues. You all keep talking to people that use it as a primary fuel so it's constantly sitting in the fuel line tanks carbs etc... But when it's just used temporarily your normal driving will evaporate/wash all the meth from the TB and intake. Just don't make a 1/4 pass at the track and shut the engine down and store if for the winter. Let it run a while to clear out all the meth. No biggie. Running 25lbs of boost and 25* timing on 91 octane in my 3.8 buick motor. 10.65@128. |

it actualy did make more boost, i usualy make abut 8 pounds, yesterday i put the hamer down and made 10pounds at qot aty about 3500rpm and still climbing.

When mixing Xylene in your fuel I have been told that you really should use a lube like Marvel's Mystery or Kotlz to help out your seals in your fuel pump etc. Klotz Synthetic Lubricants - Products

I am currently running 2L xylene, 2l Toluene and 1l Meth in my fuel and don't add any lubricants on 45L fuel. As I understand that our pump fuel has enough lubricants, but know of guys that use 2 stroke oil as lubricant,
