Denaturated alcohol

50/50 with d. water....the car will love it. Does anybody know the risks in using this stuff?

well actually i used stright Denatured alcohol on my non intercooled GTP and am pushing 14 psi easy. as well as my friend with an evo although he recked his car a little while ago so yeah but as far as side affects or risks i havent had any problems with it i really love it

denatured alcohol and water mix 50-50 is it okey on diesel engines? instead of methanol being used...which is better denatured alcohol or methanol mix with water,,which of the 2 produces more power?

The power diffenence is almost a mute point. I have done dyno's with vehicles that were running 50/50 denatured on and they ran out and switched to methanol cause that's what the shop had in stock and the horse power was really no different. Methanol has as it has a higher oxygen ratio, higher cooling power, and about the same octane.

It's really all about availibility and price for most people. If your in the boonies Methanol can be hard to come by at a decent price.

good info, ive been running denatured alcohol from home depot, but just found a local supplier for meth.. is there any affect from long term use from one or the other, like does one corrode more then the other?

methanol is expensive here in my place and harder to find..ive been thinking of what other type of alcohol can be used inplace of methanol..denatured alcohol here is cheap and plenty of source..but will it work just like meth?how about ethel or ethylyn alcohol...also my suv is a 3.0 diesel turbo intercooled,will a 50/50 denbatured alcohol work good or just 60/40....

i found that most pertro companies sell meth in 5 gallon containers for 25-30 bucks

You will see almost the same power increase note you should never use more than a 50/50 mix of anything with a TD.

I have ridden in my buddies Fortuner's in the Philippines, those are some nice SUV's to bad the small displacement TD are not sold here and they respond nicely to alcohol injection.
