Hey guys,
Newb here, i recieved my DO kit yesterday and have everthing minus the Tanks mounted. I just ordered some more goodies this morning to complete the install.

Ive been reading for hours on who uses what and why.
Most popular is -20c supertech with a bottle of Heet added.

Can one use pure Denatured Alcohol? We have hundreds of cases at work, so id like to try some. Will the pump live?

Lucky you, Yes you can use the denatured alcohol it's basically ethyl alcohol with 3% to 10% methanol to make it undrinkable. Use whatever source is cheapest for you. If you can buy it at work for cheap then go for it.

Denatured just makes a little less power than methanol but not by much. So you can just mix your own in a 5 gallon container.

And by mixing, what are you refering too? Mixing DA with Meth?

I am refering to water, Denatued does less of a job in cooling vs methanol, Plus unless you plan on pulling some fuel I would not run 100% because you will be pig rich and actually make yourself slower than you would be with a 50/50 mix which is around 110 octane alread.

You get the best of both worlds when mixing, you get the cooling of water and octane of the alcohol. With Denatured since it has slightly less octane and oxegen content I would try 40/60 water/alcohol to start off with and check your AF ratio if you have a gauge.
