I've spoken with a couple of tuners (mine included) who agree that when tuning for meth, you should turn down the gas with some sort of proportion to the meth. I've heard some folks say just juice the gas up and then add meth. The tuners have had consistent results and gains doing it their way. I'm curious to know why juice the gas up and then add meth? |

I'm not sure who says add fuel then meth, because that is dead wrong, Leaner is meaner period. You need to pull fuel and add methanol. You need to get your AF ratios to were you make the most power. A real tuner would know this, running pig rich will make you slower. If you have a map clamp or like us GM vehicles use a AFC to tune our fuel then you will be able to get your vehicle the way you want if you have a means to scan the vehicle with a scan tool such as a autotap or LS1M ect. A wideband is the best means to tune if you can afford one it is defiently nice to have. You can get a dyno tune at many shops that can do this for you. |

| To clarify that just a bit. Your wideband will read richer than you actually are. You want to start using the lamda readings instead. They don't change with fuel type. Meth has a different Stoich point so it will skew the a/f scale if you're wideband is setup to read gasoline.
