Default What to use for pipes?

Still trying to decide between a smaller tank in engine bay, or larger tank boot installation.

Seems the main informed view is to go for a larger tank boot mounted installation.

But one of my main worries for fitting the pump and tank in the boot is where to run the piping.

I really don't fancy having pressurised water/meth running inside my car close or next to the cars critical electronics.
And running the piping underneath the car i'm worried about accidental damage to the piping from stones and debris.

One way to reduce this is to use stronger piping, i have a good friend in the plumbing trade so could ask him to do a run from the boot to the engine bay using solid piping.

But what's safe to use with a 50/50 water methanol mix, as far as i know the standard materials used in plumbing are copper pipes and brass fittings, are these ok to use with Methanol though?

From the searches i've carried out it seems pure Methanol is a very nasty and corrosive liquid, but i've been unable to find out any info on its corrisive properties when mixed with water.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Mark

No they are not. If you going to use hard line it needs to be stainless steel. Alum and brass are going to eat up. You can also use braided lines.
